MOPS AND BROOMS
If you don’t have a dedicated spot for mops and brooms, get one! And if you don’t have a special way to hang up your mops, either with clips or hooks, install these and do it right away. Without these tricks, your mops and brooms will forever not only look disorganized but will linger longer than they should and end up being clutter. The following photo is an example of a simple hanging solution for mops and brooms.

Creating a sustainable system
You likely have some sort of laundry schedule or routine. Maybe you do laundry every Sunday or Wednesday evening, or every day because you have five kids. You have likely formed a habit of some sort because laundry is a task that never goes away and is a constant in our lives, whether we like it or not. Create a similar system for the items you keep around the laundry room.
The biggest and most obvious tip that is posted on every laundry room Pinterest board is to have labeled baskets for colors, whites, and whatever else is a big washing topic in your house. This saves you time and forces others in the same house to follow suit when sorting laundry.
Other things that are helpful when creating systems are to have your space prepared in the most efficient way possible. I am not telling you to get more clutter; however, some items that are helpful for creating a laundry system can include:
Labeled laundry bags or bins
Drying racks
Hanging racks
Laundry baskets
Large see-through containers for clothespins and laundry detergent
Hooks
Ironing boards
Irons
Baskets
Folding tables
